I did not see Bruce after he was killed, but others told me that he looked peaceful, relieved and restful. I’m sure it was God’s will that it happened this way, and I know for sure that today he is happy and in the eyes of God. Bruce was well liked by all. You would never hear him swearing and he never complained once when asked to do something. Several nights later we went back into the same valley. The men were camouflaged in white covering to blend in with the snow and all carrying automatic weapons. Our mission—to seek revenge for our fellow buddy and companion, Bruce Warner. But, as we all say, ‘All the Communists in Korea wouldn’t come near comparing with the life of our Bruce Warner.’ I know that Bruce will be in yours and also in our hearts forever.
