It is with great pride that the author, Jerry Ravino, acknowledges former Marine Sgt. John L. Camara who served during the Korean War in the First Reconnaissance Company and as a First Division Tank Battalion Reconnaissance Marine. Following his distinguished service, John proudly continued to set an example of Marine esprit de corps by nurturing a family tradition of dedicated Marines. “Semper Fidelis” was and is the backbone of John’s dedication to his family, to his country, and to the United States Marines.
